Are there any necessary prerequisites?

“Stop Shooting In Auto” and “Stop Relying On Natural Light” is recommended but not necessary. Students of “What are your Camera Settings?” should have a firm grasp on using their camera in manual mode and using artificial light.

How often does “What are your Camera Settings?” run?

Our “What are your Camera Settings?” runs quarterly, or 4 times a year.

I am interested in a particular photography niche (Wedding, Fashion, Landscape, Portraits…etc) do you offer workshops based on that style of photography?

We sometimes offer specialty workshops, however, our 3 core workshops “Stop Shooting in Auto”, “Stop Relying on Natural Light”, and “What are your Camera Settings?” rely on core fundamentals that can be used across all photography styles and niches.

In there an age restriction on the workshops?

Snap Foto Club workshops are available for all ages, however, students should be old enough to take the class without parental supervision.

What do I need to bring to “What are your Camera Settings?”?

The most important piece of equipment to bring with you is your camera and a laptop capable of running photo editing software. Also, please remember to bring an SD Card, fully charged battery, and charger for your camera battery and laptop.

You should also bring something to take notes on.

What sort of editing software do I need on my laptop?

It doesn’t really matter. The purpose of this workshop is to demonstrate the creative process and typical overarching techniques, as opposed to focusing on the ever changing details of editing software. The instructor will be using Lightroom, however, any other photo editing software such as Capture One, Photoshop, or any others will work great.

What sorts of things should I expect to learn?

“What are your camera settings?” focuses on core fundamentals that arm you with the knowledge necessary to take control of a creative photo session. Skills learned in this workshop can be transferred to all photography niches including: wedding, portraiture, macro, etc…
